The Arriving Idea
Why does creativity so often feel received?

Artists have described work that seemed to arrive before explanation. Scientists and mathematicians have described sudden insight.
Poincaré wrote of leaving a problem, then finding the solution present, as if it had been prepared out of view.
Incubation is a description of timing. It is not yet a cause.
Psychology names intuition, incubation, unconscious processing, and pattern recognition. Those are offices of study. They do not close the CHARISMATA question. They keep it honest.
Adams chose 42 because it would do. The culture then received the number as if it had always been waiting.
What kind of arrival
Feeling received is the phenomenon. The cause remains open.
