VI · Threshold
Between Two Worlds
Are human beings creatures of more than one register?

Plotinus wrote in Greek in the third century. The surviving work is the Enneads, arranged after his death.
He places the soul in a middle rank. It looks toward what can be thought. It also lives among what can be touched.
The human is not only body. The human is not only intellect. The work of a life is the interval.
A threshold is not a proof of a second physics.
CHARISMATA uses this image as a question, not as a cosmology. If something arrives that seems to exceed ordinary sight, one possible reading is that a person stands between registers. Another reading is cognition, chance, or love. The room does not pick a winner.
